Let's Rock!

|| Bridgette + Jon at The Royalton ||

We recently completed a Mac Daddy Package (more on that later) for this adorable couple so we thought why not share some of their wedding day with you! Bridgette and Jon were going for elegance and they nailed it. This couple was going for elegance & they nailed it. Fall weddings can be a little heavy handed but here champagne golds, navy blues and warm tones feel classic.

Bridgette said, "Ultimately, we wanted to have a timeless...wedding, which resulted in colors of navy/gold/cream and touches of lace and sparkle to accent our traditional black tuxes and my satin gown."

Honestly this couple has been classy from the jump if their perfectly coordinated engagement session is any indication.

I encourage you to take a minute to watch their engagement film to hear their adorable meet cute and proposal story.

“Jonathan suddenly said 'Wait, wait, stand up!'

Bridgette turned around, and Jonathan was down on one knee!

Bridgette takes us through their fall time elegance at The Royalton Mansion below. Enjoy!!

"We incorporated lace where we could – a lace overlay for the bridesmaid dresses, lace decorating our invitations, and lace decorating our cake."

Bridgette was wearing her mother’s sapphire ring that her father gave her mom. She also also borrowed her bridesmaid Lauren’s wedding jewelry! "Hairpiece, bracelet and earrings were all on loan and I am so grateful!"

"A close family friend took flowers from Bridgette’s parents’ garden in Southold, NY and dried them for over a year. She then arranged them to be used as our entrance centerpiece. We were so happy to have her make this for us, and so glad to have my parent’s garden as part of the flowers decorating our wedding space"

"I LOVED my dress! Everything about it, especially the back with the cascading train, I felt so glamorous from the first moment I put it on!"

"Jonathan was quite particular with his ensemble, having a bespoke tux cut and going through several shirts, bow ties, and suspenders before finding the right ones!"

"We started late! The wedding before us ran wayyy over and so I was stressing the entire time, wanting everything to get started. But, the moment it all began, it was as if time stood still. I began to get nervous and emotional waiting to walk down the aisle in the back of the church and my god-daughter Mia and my Dad starting doing the whip-nae nae dance to lighten the mood and make me laugh. I remember finally being able to see Jonathan at the end of the long aisle and I finally felt relaxed, we were there, doing it!"

I was in the church choir growing up through high school and college and so the music was very important to me. We chose songs that I had sung growing up, adding bells and trumpets, using the organ and the piano. Whenever we are home for mass the Monsignor still comments about how beautiful the music was at our wedding!

We wanted to use fall flowers/colors without losing the elegance of traditional “wedding” flowers. So, we went with a cream base of hydrangea and roses with accents of gold mokara orchids and peach hypericum berries. We hoped to marry “fall” with “bridal” and think we were able to do it with the warm colors in the room!

"We wanted to have different heights throughout the room and so we had 3 different tablescapes (low, high, cylinders) with lots of candlelight to add to the warmth and glow in the room.."

"During dinner, the band’s guitarist starting playing Billy Joel’s “This is the Time” and for some reason, Jonathan and I felt like dancing. So we got up and danced, while everyone continued eating. It felt like we were the only people in the room and I’ll never forget it, way better than our planned first dance. The best part, John got a couple pictures for us! I never in a million years thought he captured that moment because it was on the fly and no one was supposed to be dancing during dinner!"

She was right! Lace right down to that cake. I loved reliving this gorgeous wedding while building their album.

Thanks for sharing more details of this beautiful day with us Bridgette!
